Teriyaki salmon foil packets
From the oven or the grill
In the mood for fish but not in the mood for a lot of fuss? These teriyaki salmon foil packets are the answer.
It is very easy to make and ready in about 30 minutes. All you need are a few simple ingredients and you will have a delicious meal on the table. You can make it in the oven or on the grill. Perfect for a weeknight dinner, but also great for a relaxed barbecue evening.
An Asian touch
The teriyaki sauce gives the salmon a great Asian touch. The sweet and savory flavor of the sauce pairs perfectly with the rich taste of the salmon. It is a classic flavor combination that makes the fish even better without needing many extra spices or ingredients. The simplicity of this dish makes it perfect for a quick meal, but the flavor is still excellent.
A fresh note
The bright, slightly tart flavor of the lemon slices keeps the dish from feeling too heavy. The lemon juice also helps keep the fish tender and works as a great contrast to the salty teriyaki sauce. As the salmon cooks in the foil, the lemon slowly releases its juices.
Those juices mix with the teriyaki sauce and create a light, fragrant cooking liquid inside the packet. The result is salmon that stays moist and flavorful, with a pleasant balance between sweet, salty, and fresh citrus notes.
Variations
These salmon foil packets are not only quick and tasty, but also very versatile. Serve it with roasted potatoes, or choose a fresh salad for a lighter option. If you prefer vegetables on the side, stir-fried broccoli or green asparagus are great choices. Noodles or rice also pair well with this dish and turn it into a complete meal. Salmon is simply a very versatile piece of fish!
