Description

Salmon and Zucchini Puff Pastry Tart combines smoked salmon, zucchini, and a creamy cheese filling on a flaky puff pastry crust.


Ingredients

  • 4 oz smoked salmon
  • 1/3 cup plain cream cheese spread
  • 1/2 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 egg
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • Arugula

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Meanwhile, slice the zucchini into thin rounds and the red onion into thin half-moons.
  3. In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, 1 pressed clove of garlic, finely shredded Parmesan cheese, and dried dill.
  4. Unroll the puff pastry sheet on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the pastry.
  5. Brush the edges of the puff pastry with beaten egg yolk.
  6. Arrange the zucchini slices evenly over the cream cheese mixture, followed by the red onion.
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown.
  8. Before serving, top the tart with the smoked salmon and a handful of arugula.
